I recently moved to Minnesota (born and raised in California), and am looking to meet some new people; specifically on this site...women. I enjoy live entertainment (music, comedy, etc.), sitting down and engaging in philosophical thought, cooking, eating, and sleeping, watching movies, kicking puppies, bike riding(bicycles), and all sorts of other normal activities. 3 of the 8 pictures above are of me in random party costumes, I'll let you guess which ones are which. I'm honestly more of a indoors kind of guy, and prefer the comforts of domesticated life to the grime of the outdoors. Some people may think I'm kinda gay at first, because I don't really enjoy most 'man' things like sports, cars, TV, womanizing, etc., but I prefer to think I'm well balanced. I should mention here that I just cut off all my hair; it was way more acceptable in California, and found that need to adapt to the midwest a bit more. Pictures of that soon to come, but I have to wait till I get to know someone well enough for them to take some pictures of me.
Hobbies: I play drums, ride bicycles, am politically active, enjoy fixing up my house, and a bit of a computer nerd, among other things.
Goals: Above all happiness, but with that I wouldn't mind a successful career, lots of money, and a "family" (I come from a stable, loving family, and I value this above most other earthly things).
What makes me unique? I am very loyal to my friends and a good listener, but that comes at the expense of being rather slow to open up to people. I've heard that I'm intelligent, good looking, and a funny, and would like to believe these things to be true. I've also heard some rather unflattering things about myself, but I won't repeat those, because they come from uncredible sources.
Music: I listen to most all of it except rap, ska, and raygay. I listen to a lot of hard rock/metal, country, and classical music, but can usually find a common ground with people musically. Extra bonus points to Tom Waits fanatics.
Another thing worth mentioning here, and I hope this information doesn't get used in a manipulating manner...but my requirements from a potential "partner" are really not all that extravagant. There has to be a physical attraction, honesty, trust, and communication. I really don't require much more than that; but I will not settle for much less either.

I really dislike dating, especially the first one; it feels like a job interview. But if I had to pick it would probably be going to either a coffee shop or a bar. Something where there isn't a whole lot of distractions interfering with two people getting to know each other. I kinda' find it awkward for two people to talk to each other from across a table while trying to ingest food (eating dinner), but I could handle that alot easier than watching a movie.
