My hobbies mostly include the 'stay at home' type such as cooking, sewing, playing cards and board games, and reading a variety of books. I'm not much on shopping, TV, or partying, but do enjoy a good movie, either at home or the theater. I've done a little traveling, and anticipate doing a lot more, I would like to have a close friend to travel with. (Some places just aren't the same when visited with children.) I don't know that I am unique, but I can be a lot of fun. I have an outgoing sense of humor, and enjoy being around people. My favorite music is classic rock, although I can listen to almost anything.

A perfect first date would be a daytime adventure, perhaps a trip to the coast. I'm fond of lighthouses and ships, so someplace where we could visit one or both. I think we could make a day of it, leave home early in the morning, do a little sight-seeing, stop for a meal, walk on the beach, meander along the coast for a while, return home.
