Hello and thank you for checking out my profile. If you are like me, you find this whole online dating thing a bit intimidating. We have all heard the horror stories of people who couldn't wait for the night to end after meeting someone new! I am typically very conservative and reserved...so this is really a giant step for me!

In my spare time, I love watching the Chicago Cubs (both on tv and at Wrigley). Yes, win or lose, I am a die-hard fan. I also love movies...even horror movies and, yes, I enjoy my favorite shows on the television. I hate to admit it, but I am a "reality tv" junkie. I enjoy a good concert and live theater. Turbo Kick is something I enjoy doing at the gym and walking my dogs is what I like to do outside of the gym. My pets and family are extremely important to me, so I give them as much of my time as possible.

I think what makes me unique is that I am a genuinely empathetic person. I am someone who can always be counted on and I am very loyal and honest. Money does not impress me. I am more comfortable at Outback than at Morton's and I would prefer a date at the zoo and pizza over a night of fine dining. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy an occassional night at a nice restaurant, but I don't need it to make me happy. What you see is what you get with me. I treat those around me very well and, of course, I ask the same in return.

My taste in music is wide spread. I am a fan of the big-band era right down to the current hip-hop craze. Yes, I am a major "fanilow" (Barry Manilow) and have seen him so many times, in concert, I lost count! I also love Aerosmith, Frank Sinatra, the Beastie Boys, Bob Seger, Rod Stewart, all 70s music, Matchbox 20, Judy Garland, Kid Rock, etc etc. As you can see, I am all over the board with my music. The only thing you have not seen on my list is Country music. Not a big fan!

I have been out the dating scene for so long, I TRULY would like to enter into a friendship first and see where it would go. I am not looking for anything physical, right off the bat, or for a long-term relationship initially. I believe that everything happens for a reason and we are lead down certain paths for a reason.

My idea of a first date is pretty simple: coffee or lunch. A very simple introduction with nice conversation. Nothing more, nothing less. Very basic and simple.
