Don't let the curves fool you, I am a geek. I am a voracious reader, and I am in the process of launching my work in mediation, reconciliation and healing. I am a self-help junkie, love hanging out in health food stores, but I'm not a vegitarian. I love all music, but I can only take mariacchi, classical chamber, and opera music for about two hours.

I have been blessed to travel all over the world, and make it back home again. I do not have children or pets (I am a dog person) so dating men with these are a plus. Dating men without them are also a plus as we can create these things together if we are a good fit. I am pretty positive for the most part, so if you walk with a rain filled cloud over your head please don't attempt to befriend me. I love well thought out surprises, and new experiences. I love, love, love to laugh because the world is a pretty sad place right now. I can go from pizza and beer to lobster and champaign, it's about the people, the experiences, and the memories we create. I am a very spiritual(not religious)person, and it is important that any man that I spend quality time with have a spiritual path that he follows as well (not just talks about).

As an aside....., in signing up for this website, every other ethnic group had a choice based on a georgraphical location tied to a land mass except those of African decent. My parents weren't from Blackland, they are from America. Their foreparents were forced from Africa, so I am African by ancestry and American by culture (African-American). This is a really important point, and it speaks to the continuation of racism based on institutional norms, in this case how one is preceived or defined by the larger society. What are your thoughts?
