I'm just a laid back guy who enjoys playing and watching sports, movies, and tv. I enjoy all kinds of music, except country, but am really into Dave Matthews Band. I recently graduated from Virginia Tech with a degree in English and Film Studies. I have just moved to the area and looking to meet new people, maybe more.

I'm starting to realize what I really want is a girl who is more pro-active and go after what they claim to want. Sitting by and waiting for the guy to do all the work in my opinion is too old fashioned. That being said I'm still a sucker for doing things for the girl like paying or holding doors, so don't think I'm using that as an excuse to not be a gentleman, it's just a turn on for me for the girl to actually do something to contribute to the whole process of dating.

It's also annoying to see the vast majority of girls put in their profiles something about not just looking for a hook up. I agree that people shouldn't deceivingly use dating sites as a way to get a one night stand, and I honestly don't care if we "hook up" on the first couple dates or not. The problem is most people are too closed minded about the whole thing and two people should let the chemistry and mood decide when and if anything is going to happen, not just a pre-determined time frame.

All depends on the person. I'll find out what we have in common and have similar interests in and base any ideas off of that. Dinner and a movie, while cliche, can be the best date if two people have similar interests in film; and going to see a local band perform might be the best idea if we share the same taste in music. I'm open to about anything so I'm not going to put just one or two ideas down before I even meet you. Hopefully my bluntness didn't come off as rude, just want to let you know I'm open minded about almost every aspect of this game we call dating if you're willing to be too.
