I've been in Chicagoland for a few months and have a nice small group of friends. I'm definitely the quiet one in the group, but I enjoy just being around with other people having fun. When I'm by myself I like to race. In the summer I'll be autocrossing my car or doing track days with my motorcycle, but right now I'm trying really hard to get good at karting. This spring I plan on doing a long trip on the bike, hopefully hitting the east coast somewhere in the Carolinas, and then making my way to the Grand Canyon and back.

I'm set career-wise, and I'm doing what I'll be doing for the rest of my life. I take a lot of pride in my job, and there's a good chance I'll be moving within the next five years so that I can keep moving up the ladder as fast as I can. That is, unless I can get a fun rotation somewhere exciting - Japan is high on that list right now. I've already been to Dubai, and wouldn't mind going back to the Middle East if the opportunity presents itself. Someone needs to teach those Arabs how to ski, after all!

I had a friend describe herself as high maintenance but self maintained, and I would love to meet someone like that (my friend is very happily married, BTW). You should be educated and ambitious, and able to write in grammatically correct sentences with proper punctuation. You also drive considerately and are able to work a standard transmission.

I'm pretty soft-spoken, so anyplace where we won't have to yell at each other is fine with me.
