I have a seemingly endless capacity to remember useless information. I believe that music sounds best live and acoustic. I have a preference for indie/folk artists. I love thunderstorms, and the smell after it rains. My sense of humor is witty and clever, often lame, sometimes self-deprecating, and predominantly sarcastic. I believe outstanding evenings are best paired with meandering discussions of random topics. I greatly appreciate the unconventional and things/people with history. My preference is for the small gathering rather than the crowd; bars and clubs no longer interest me. I'm a junkie, and well written words are my vice.

I am quiet at first, but easy to have a conversation with. I am patient, open minded, calm, and even tempered. I am imperfect and I make mistakes. I do not desire to command, control, or dominate. I do not desire to be the center of attention, and have no desire for competition in my personal life. I do not define myself, or others, by occupation/income. I believe in the separation of work and home life. I do not have arbitrary time lines, and believe that life should unfold organically of its own accord. I value openness and honesty. I value intelligence, and I am intolerant of arrogance. I believe that personal time is essential. I believe life is lived in the everyday; however, we often describe ourselves by grand infrequent actions. My life is filled with simple pleasures and small details.

Symmetry and signs of good health are always aesthetically pleasing. However, what makes a person attractive to me are what animates them: a sparkle in the eye, a predisposition to smile or laugh, a sense of presence. I've learned from experience that what radiates from within is most important. I would like to find a best friend/partner who is willing to share life's experiences. I would like to meet someone willing to stand next to me at concerts, sit next to me watching movies, and tell me about their day over dinner. I would like to find someone who believes in the necessity of communication, someone who prefers talking and coming to a resolution rather than arguing, someone who believes trust and mutual respect are the foundations of a relationship. I would like to meet someone who has opinions but is not judgmental, is not afraid of intelligent debate, and is willing to listen to my endless stories, even when I repeat myself, simply because we enjoy hearing each other's voices. I'm looking for someone who can accept our differences and embrace our similarities. We all have expectations, and some fundamentals have to work out of the box. However, I do not have a rigid set of standards; it's all in the little things that you can only get a sense of through conversation and shared moments.
