I'm not an Essex boy - despite my current location. No Ford Escort and white socks here! You'll have to ask me where I'm from if you are interested.

I got married when all my friends were still single. I find myself single again and all my friends have inconsiderately settled down. Some friends eh?

They want to go out on the town less and less and your social life reduces, unless you want to be the person propping up the bar on your own. sound familiar?

The "666" in my user name is NOT a satanic reference, although, I'm sure some people would disagree. You'll have to ask me if you want to know the significance of it

Whilst I'm happy in a crowd, I prefer to talk and chat about serious issues and alternatively just to have a laugh on a one to one basis. I like music, especially the 60s, 70s, 80s music. Ask me and I'll tell you which cheesy music in particular. I will admit to having seen Rick Asteley in concert many years ago - and enjoying it. I love going to concerts, but finding people who have similar music tastes is difficult.

I enjoy cycling as a hobby and a means of getting to work. I currently spend a lot of my free time out on my bike (welll its great in the nice weather) - shame I am not very good at it. I did complete a solo Lands End to John O Groats bike ride in 10 1/2 days in the summer. That was one of the hardest things I have ever done. Cycling over Dartmoor is not easy I can say.

I am a romantic at heart and believe in old fashioned values like opening doors for ladies, walking on the roadside etc. This is not contrary to treating my lady as an equal. It a gentleman thing.

An ideal first date in the summer would be a picnic by the water- eg The Serpentine in Hyde Park or a secluded seaside resort or by the river (any river)- a nice blanket, good food, good wine and good company and....

In the winter, perhaps a nice drink in a pub with an open fire before heading for a candlelit meal for two.... (who said a bag of chips and/ or a kebab?)
