Before I get started here, just wanted to make an observation about something in the summary section right above this. So it displays various pieces of information like Marital Status, whether you drink, smoke, etc...Ok I get that, I can see why someone may want to know those things at a glance. But then I saw the line that said "Do you have a car" and scratched my head. I mean, is that really what people want to know about each other at a glance? When was the last time someone thought to themselves, "Oh jeez, this person doesn't have a car, its just not gonna work out." Seems to me that someone over at plentyoffish didn't really think this through :)

Anyway, I'm a very independent person in my attitude and thought. I guess I sort of rub against the grain. I have a strong risk taking mentality (mostly calculated risks) and firmly believe that success in life is a function of hard work and taking RISKS. This holds true for work as well as for relationships. I have a bachelors degree in finance and a law degree, although I don't practice law. I've been in New York for almost 3 years and love the city. I've lived in 4 different states before moving to NY so I don't really have one place that I think of as home.

I have a great sense of humor and expect the same from you (big plus if you like crude and sometimes politically incorrect humor). I like to travel, and would like to do more of it, whether it be short weekend excursions or longer trips around the world. I like to keep fit by going to the gym and expect that you try to keep yourself in good shape as well, however you do it.

I also really love languages, so if you speak languages besides english, and I mean really speak a language (so going to China and knowing how to ask people where the bathroom is doesn't count), that's great. I've always thought about how awesome it'd be if I spoke every language in the world, the things I would learn about people and cultures would be absolutely amazing. Even knowing one other language opens up a whole another group of people with whom you can converse.

Other interests (in no particular order): Movies, playing the piano, tennis, video games, chess, poker, reading
