Wow. Is it cliche to say you don't like filling these things out? At any rate, I lived in England for three years, came back to the US only to discover all my mates had grown up and gotten married. Its an interesting position, being something of a return immigrant. Relearning everything, rediscovering my home town. I'm a grad student in Counseling and I work for an adolescent treatment center. It occured to me the other day that all of my dreams that I had when I graduated college I've fufilled (except for two). So I guess you can say I'm driven, but I need to work on new dreams and am looking for someone to share them with. I love traveling, and I've traveled extensively in Europe while I lived there. Ihave plans to go all over the world: Vietnam and Laos, India, overland from Cairo to Cape Town, etc. John Gunther once described East Tennesseans as people who can quote Horace and talk horses, and that's me to a tee. I enjoy going out or just staying in; flexibility is a key thing with me. I love hiking in my mountains, kayaking around the lake, or just sitting back in someone's arms and snoozing. I enjoy good beer, good cigar and a good steak. I like Frasier and Ron White in equal amounts. I start being pretty shy; but once I loosen up and you get to know me, things are pretty fun and spontaneous. In otherwords, it takes some investment, but the return is more than the outlay! I'm more active than my weight suggests. Ask me about my three day hike through the Northumberland mountains. I'm looking for someone who shares a view on life that's more than the next club opening, more than the next lay, more than the next 'stuff' to buy. He's funny, smart, and kind to children and small animals. He thinks Gandhi and Jesus have things about worked out. He's got an inner strength and internal sense of right and wrong that stands up for the little person and is willing to go the next step. You're out there, I know't.

Just meeting up for a beer, maybe dinner, at a place that you can talk. Never quite understood taking people to a movie where you sit in silence and watch someone else fake falling in love...
