I'm a 24 year old student with an A.A. in History and I'm finishing my A.S. in Business Administration. I work at my college giving campus tours and at Victoria Secret (best job ever!). I'm a guitarist, but I don't tour anymore mostly I teach kids, it's just a hobby now not a career. I love volunteer work, but I'm not a goody goody or religious nut, it's been surprisingly fun is all. But, I'm a bit of a paradox as well. I train for cage fighting (MMA), but I've never been in a street fight. I'm clean cut, but I'm obsessed with tattoos. I love tailgating and Monday Night Football and almost every sport, but I'm a huge nerd! I was in marching band, chess club president (still looking for a game in Gainesville), and I can read... books. I love cooking and eating, both parents on my Dad's side are chefs and I learned that cooking for yourself is cheaper, tastes better, and is way healthier. So being honest here, not big on the eating out for dates thing.
What makes me unique is that when I get good at something I don't settle, I move onto to learning something new. Specialization is for ants, I want to be able to do as much as I can. This is what makes my goals in life meaningful. I want to travel through Asia and Europe and study in as many foreign countries as possible (who wouldn't right?) I plan on working towards my Ph.D in European History at the College of William and Mary hopefully starting in Fall of 2010. Another thing that makes me unique is that I'm like the last Southern Gentleman left. I hold doors, say "please" and "thank you", etc. But I don't think I take it too far (its always awkward pushing a date's chair in at a restaurant). I was born in the wrong decade I think, I'm very old fashioned, I live for late 70's punk like the Velvet Underground, Iggy and the Stooges, Television, David Bowie, etc. As far as the modern stuff goes, my favorite band is Radiohead, but I'm more into the indie/ folk scene, NOT THE EMO SCENE!!! (Brighteyes is terrible) I love Band of Horses, Kings of Leon, Belle and Sebastian, The Strokes, Against Me, etc.
I love black and white films like "Bringing Up Baby", "North by Northwest", "Charade", and pretty much anything by Hitchcock or anything with Carey Grant in it.

Because it's a first date, I would want to start earlier than normal so there isn't that rush to "get to know someone". You know where you both don't actually talk because your both trying to think of which of your 20 questions is going to come next. I'd cook us dinner and we would just talk over a bottle of white wine. We would go downtown to try to find some live music, I'd like to learn how to dance at some point, so this wouldn't have to be a rock show, Twist and Shout at the Atlantic would be my second choice. Then we would curl up on a couch and watch a movie, or go on a walk around downtown. I'm not the normal guy, so you'd get a call the next day too!
