Just here looking for someone to date and for the relationship to turn into long term. Not looking to date more than one person at a time when I say I'm looking for dating. But how can it be long term when you don't know the person just yet? Looking for the right person one step at a time. I'm looking to build to a relationship; not an immediate relationship overnight -- if that's what you want, skip rocks in this pond, feel free to sit by this pond and look at it but find another pond or ocean for that overnight relationship. Now that I've said it 20,000 different ways...you get my point...

I am looking for a guy who is trustworthy, honest, has a great sense of humor and is affectionate but not overly affectionate. He can hold his own. A guy who wants someone in his life, not needs to have someone else. I want that person who looks at me as the bright part of their day down the road. Someone who doesn't mind being kept on their feet in all the right ways. Someone who doesn't mind me saying out of the blue, let's see if it's affordable to go to see my friends in New Orleans on a whim.

The above being said, I'm easy-going and laid back; I love planned things but have been known to do things that are last minute ideas (i.e., booking a trip within a week of flying out to visit great friends). I live on my own with my 10 year old. I am looking to make that connection with the right person. My kid is everything to me. I am basically quiet until you get to know me. I have a funny sense of humor, or at least I have laughed at some of my own humor. I have an infectious laugh. I love the water although I'm not a beach person -- as a young kid I spent days at the beach and then when I moved down the shore the beach was too crowded for my liking -- I'd rather be out on the boat all day long or be poolside along the bay. I'm close to my family and would like someone who is close to their family as well.

I drink occassionally in a social setting and don't do any drugs -- I'm not 420 friendly. I'm not looking for a smoker nor am I looking for anyone who has any issues that they themselves can't control.
