I am a caring man that wears his heart on his sleeve and for the right girl will move heaven and earth for her. I'm not a rich man but I take care of myself and work hard to move ahead. I have also done quite a bit of freelance writing on the side and made a few bucks that way too, but that market is pretty dry right now. I do love to write anyway.

I won't say that I am or am not looking for a relationship right now, but what I'm looking for is whatever happens. We never know who we're going to meet or when. Things happen where we least expect them to. I'd like to be around someone that I can communicate with, talk about serious things as well as laugh our asses off. I have a quick wit and love to make people laugh whenever I can. I like to hang out with friends for barbecues just as much as I like to stay at home for a quiet night (or weekend) with the right woman.

Really don't like this first date question as it will depend on who I meet and what kind of things they like to do. Going out for dinner is always a good plan. I'm a pretty d*mn good cook as well so making dinner for someone would be nice as well. Beyond that I'm pretty open to suggestions and as my headline says I'm "looking for something new", so I'd like to hear some good ideas for a first date.
