Let me see... I really hate this part about discribing myself. Writing about myself has never been my forte. Seems a bit narcissistic. Gettting a friend to do it for me would be a lot easier, but then they would probably embarass me purposely. In all seriousness though, I my friends would say that I am a good hearted person who is nice, loyal, honest, family oriented, very caring and bit of a romantic. The values that are important to me are learning, reading the news, my career, friends and family. I am the type of guy who will always be there for you.

A hobby: growing orchids. I have a bit of a green thumb. Got that from my mother. I love to cook. It is relaxing. Just hate doing the dishes afterwards. Hiking is another favorite activity. Once and a while I like to drive down Skyline Blvd (South of 92) with the rays of Sun shining through the overhead tree branchs. It is beautiful and very pleasant. Then when I am far enough down South I find a random beach to explore. One of my favorite spots is a tidal pool past Half Moon Bay. You can see all the hermit crabs scurrying around, and the star fish and sea urchins trying to find a safe spot to hide. I enjoy going out with my friends for a couple drinks and a little dancing (I stink at dancing, but I still have fun). I also played hockey for 12 years.

I am always trying to broaden my horizons and to explore the world around me.

My favorit books are Stanger in a Strange in a Strange Land, Time Enough for Love, and The Selfish Gene.

I live to eat. Korean bbq is probably my favorite food (Can't beat Brothers for the amazing bbq). Love Japanese food as well (not just the sushi). And I am always searching for that hidden hole in the wall.

Can't live without NPR, BBC, Netflix, or chocolate.

My profession is a geneticist/molecular biologist. Guess that makes me a bit of a science geek. And I am lucky that I actually love my job. I get to be a mad scientist everyday :)

If you are curious about my mixed race heritage my Mother was Caucasion who grew up in upstate NY. I was born in Chicago and then grew up in the same upstate NY town that my mother did. My Father is Taiwanese and came to the US for college. My mother passed away when I was 16. Afterwords my Father meet and married a Korean women. The food on the dinner table during the Holidays can get quite interesting.

And I am looking for that special someone who I can wake up next to every morning and the first thing I see are her eyes that fill my heart with warmth and joy. Someone I can share a strong emotional bond with and have good intellectual discussion with. Someone to share my life with. The good and bad. Someone to take care of. And someone who makes be happy just by being next to me.

I am looking for someone to take care of me as much as I want to take of her.

A pleasant dinner or a cup of coffee at a nice cafe is a good way to meet for the first time. You never know if you will click with your date. Good looks aren't everything.

After that the sky is the limit. A nice moonlite walk while holding hands, exploring a new beach together or hiking through the woods on a sunny day. Dressing up for an romantic dinner out on the town. Finding a new hole is the wall that we can enjoy together. Going to the the farmers market and buying freshest food for dinner. Cooking a special dinner for the women I care for then snuggling up under a blanket on a cold night to watch a movie.
