Since my children are on their own, it's time for making new friends to hang out with, go places with, and get to know. I like to do many different types of things, from learning to use my power tools to reading to target practice to gardening, although athleticism is not my strong suit. I would like to be active and still learning new things and meeting new people as long as I live. I'd like to live to be 100 and would love to volunteer in my current job when I retire. I love almost any kind of music except rap and heavy metal, and love singing and creating harmony. I'm not crazy about shopping, although I love getting a bargain. I have more fun at Lowe's than I do at Belk's. My biggest goal at the moment is clearing out all the clutter and junk my family has helped me accumulate and learn to live with what I have on hand without purchasing more stuff.

Being basically a cautious person, a first or second or maybe third date would be in a public place until I had a chance to get to know the man and feel safe with him. Maybe coffee, dinner, Lowe's(!), or something equally public. Eventually, dinner and a walk on the beach, a picnic in the woods, or having dinner at home by candlelight would be nice. I'm not particularly hard to please, just quite cautious.
