So here I am, leaving for the Peace Corps in June and looking to live up my last few months in the city while I can. What can you say on these things that isn't mega lame?

I'm sarcastic and don't take myself or anything else too seriously; love the Yankees and the Patriots, the Whalers and the Celtics and love to travel more than anything else (been to 5 European countries and this summer road tripped to North Dakota, Colorado and Wyoming).

I laugh...a lot...so if you can make me laugh, you're golden.

I listen to every kind of music under the sun (yes, even country...I am from CT) but lately find myself listening to old school hip hop on the subway (juxtaposition?, totally), otherwise it's usually Elliott Smith, Matt & Kim, Fleet Foxes, The Avett Brothers, or Girl Talk.

Right now I'm unemployed (thank you, Recession), but I couldn't be happier and spend my time meandering through the city or volunteering. As far as interests go, I'm always up for anything and try to soak in everything the city has to offer: museums, midnight movie screenings, street fairs (fried Oreos = Amazing), lectures, or just sitting on a bench people watching.

Other than that, anything else I could say is a cliche; I am exceedingly easy-going (if you like drama queens and snotty Susies, turn back now) and actually like to hang out with my guy friends more than girl friends because of that (hence, my affinity for sports), am very family oriented and should probably call my mom more, am active and like being outdoors (I would give anything to be back in Wyoming camping under the Tetons) and hopefully will be running my first marathon this spring. Good times.

Although I can appreciate a cute feline, "Cat People" freak me out...but then I can't walk by a dog without slipping into baby talk so who's the weirdo there?
If I had a DVR it would only need to record 30 Rock, How I Met Your Mother, & Trueblood...and LOST now that I've given in and joined the cult.
Christmas music is acceptable to listen to year round...seriously.

One thing I should mention is that I have a serious pet peeve of people using poor grammar or spelling, especially with your & you're; it's trivial to most people but irks me like no other, I mean there are people on this site that don't even spell Manhattan correctly...
