I like dancing, but I've never line danced and would rather keep it that way.

I enjoy telling jokes, stories, and making people laugh. I've been called funny, witty, smart and even "you're not that funny" by a classmate that I eventually had cracking up and tearing.

I consider myself a shy extrovert or outgoing introvert, I'm just never certain which. I've had fun taking classes and doing improv at the Second City and elsewhere (which does increase your ability to do something embarrassing). Although I enjoy having fun, I can also be serious and am often asked my opinion on a variety of things. (I actually find this kind of funny, but I guess it's more because of my job).

I like a variety of music. People looking at my collection of music have been surprised by its diversity. The bands that caught my interest most recently are Phoenix, Helicopters (a local band whose singer I met at one of Buddy Guy's shows early this year), Passion Pit, the Swell Season, & Kings of Leon.

I believe I have more fun based upon who I'm with, instead of being at a particular place, or doing a particular thing.

I enjoy anything from hiking in the desert, through canyons, up mountains, to taking a Segway tour in downtown Chicago after nightfall (which I recommend doing, the skyline is great when viewed near the Planetarium), seeing live music, dancing, even the a dive bar can be fun. I can also enjoy sitting on the sofa watching a good movie, sitting around a fire with friends, going out to see some improv, a comedy, or even reading a book next to someone who makes me smile (or that has a particularly attractive smile).

I believe I learn something from most people that I meet.

I like some action movies, but many others that I don't. I always like watching Jackie Chan films and many Bruce Willis ones. I don't mind some, so-called "chick flicks."

I give lots of bonus points for smart women, especially for ones that understand math and/or science. Although I also give lots of bonus points for people with common sense.

I'm thinking of learning to fly a plane. Any thoughts, other than you'll probably wind up crashing?

I think it makes sense to meet for coffee or drinks, first, just to see if we might click. However, this is not a requirement for a first date.

Let's go out in the fields and take off our shoes and walk through the grass. Then we can go up to the falls. It's beautiful up there in the moonlight, and there's a green pool up there, and we can swim in it. Then we can climb Mt. Bedford, and smell the pines, and watch the sunrise against the peaks, and . . . we'll stay up there the whole night, and everybody'll be talking and there'll be a terrific scandal . . .
