.I've always been one to know just by looking in your eyes whether we'd be good together, So looking online feels odd to me. I just don't have the time. I'm a self-employed garden designer who has two children. Both keep me very busy. I"m finding however, that the older they get, the more time I have on my own. I would love someone in my life to hang out with. I love going to Burning Man, foreign and Indie films, farmers markets, going to Big Sur and Cambria, hanging out at bookstores and art museums, gardening, hiking, listening to music (I have a fondness for reggae, classical, rock and folk/indie music, traveling and cooking. I love to read, and most days I have two to three going at the same time. I absolutely love chocolate! a great Argentine Malbec. I'm teaching myself to play guitar (its going slowly) and prefer to be on a chilly NOCAL beach, than a sunny SOCAL beach although I enjoy the ride from Malibu to Venice. I've got a wicked sarcastic streak so I"ve been told (I just don't see it). I feel strongly that the earth needs our help and I"m trying to live a more simple and sustainable life. I'd love to tell you that I have mastered yoga and meditation, but I can't....i'm working on it. I'm as liberal as it gets, and find it difficult to be with highly conservative people, Mostly vegetarian and working my way to vegan however that occasional burger and my fondness for brie have delayed that transition completely. I have a bit of hippie streak in me, and I"m not afraid to ask for what I want/need. I am very independent, a great listener and I believe that honesty, a sense of self and living life to its full extent are some of the best qualities a person can have.

If I tell you that I've been lucky in love you'll laugh, but I've loved well in my life and believe there is more than one great love for everyone.

I can't imagine a first date at this point, I guess we'll see if we get there. Something low key involving coffee probably. I'm very sure that we'll know immediatly if there is any chemistry and to me thats everything. If there is chemistry, well, that changes the rest of the evening entirely.
