I am currently finishing an MA in Philosophy and work full time as a project manager. When I am not working I enjoy spending time in Manhattan beach and Hermosa, taking in the spectacular scenery and atmosphere while also training (running, biking or swimming) for a swim from Catalina Island to LA with a friend next summer, to raise money for an orphanage in Greece.

Originally from San Diego, I moved up to La Mirada (near Buena Park) 3 years ago to attend graduate school. While I miss home and family, I have enjoyed meeting new people and having new adventures. Just this last May, I bicycled with my dad and friend from San Diego to Florida in 21 days (2508 miles). But don't think that I am necessarily looking for someone to be as vigorous; rather, good conversation, a kind heart and an active lifestyle are the kinds of things I am looking for.

I think a first date should be low key and in a comfortable setting, but also not too cliche either. What is important in that moment is finding at least compatibility and at most, chemistry. So, going for a bike ride along the board walk or a game of tennis can be fun, but ultimately anything that will let us be real and share with each other a little bit about ourselves is what makes for a best first date ;-)
