I love to travel and see new places and get hopelessly lost trying to navigate cities that are not based on the grid system. I think it's the best way to accidentally stumble upon great restaurants and random community events, and it makes me feel better about my poor internal compass ;) I love to read and typically have 4 or 5 books going at once. I love creative writing, painting, photography, movies, attempting to cook, dancing, and trying new things. In the company of good friends I will usually attempt any hobby once, and am definitely not deterred by the prospect of public humiliation. It's important to have a sense of humor about yourself. I'm also very involved in my church and try to serve/volunteer when I can.

I'm currently working as a caseworker for a government program that helps families receive assistance to pay for childcare. I love my job but I have a hard time sitting still in a cubicle for 8 hours a day. Long term I would like to go back to school and see about pursuing counseling or maybe teaching. My career is important to me, but ultimately my top priority is growing in my relationship with God. I am here first and foremost to love, serve, and glorify Him while caring for His people.

I'm a slightly reserved extrovert, a liberal Christian, I have a cat who sleeps in the sink, I love awkward animals like flamingos and giraffes, I love strawberry flavored things but dislike actual strawberries, I have savant like abilities to retain movie quotes, and I love just about any kind of music if I can sing, dance, or reminisce to it.

Anyone who can make me laugh has a friend for life :)

First dates can be awkward, so it helps to have a shared activity you can enjoy together. A trip to the zoo, natural history museum, amusement park, improv comedy show, swing dance lesson, etc can help break the ice and allow for time to talk.
