Hi, I'm Rita. I'm in graduate school studying rhetoric/composition. I also teach English and math at an after-school program. It's only part-time and the pay isn't great, but I love my job.

I do a lot of crafty stuff, but my main hobby is knitting. Basically, my hands are idle only when I'm sleeping. The weirdest thing I've ever made is a toilet seat with the Rebel Alliance symbol on it. I'm not athletic by any means, but I like to hike/bike/camp. I'm pretty good at Guitar Hero, and I watch a lot of Law and Order thanks to Netflix.

I don't get out much. This isn't to say I wouldn't like to go out more; the opportunities just haven't presented themselves. I blame grad school.

If you couldn't tell from my username, I'm a bit of a Beatles fan. I also like Sleater-Kinney, Neutral Milk Hotel, Bob Dylan, Ani Difranco, and classic rock.

I have green eyes, pale skin, straight teeth, and freckles. I'm also overweight, but not morbidly so; I just have some extra padding.

I'm looking for: an intelligent, kind person who can find humor in the everyday; someone who knows their flaws and accepts mine; a friend.

P.S. This may come across as snobby and elitist to some people, but if you can't be bothered to spell out words like "are" and "you," I probably won't respond. Same for messages with no real content. I am an English major, after all.
