I recently moved to the Sea to Sky corridor and now I'm looking to connect with new friends who are interested in packing their cameras and exploring back roads and trails. My exploring comes at any of three speeds: rambling, wandering or dawdling but I prefer the latter, especially when there's a detour or two thrown in for a meander. One of the things I have learned from experience is that the only time you are truly lost is when you have to be somewhere - like an airport or train station - at a certain time - like one or two hours before boarding - and you have absolutely no idea how to get there because you have absolutely no idea where you are. At any other time, we call this state of mind "exploring".

My tastes in music are eclectic - they range from lots of world and international music to blues and jazz with a detour here and there in country. Throw in some rock and roll, maybe some motown, definitely some motown, and hold the rap. I'm a CBC radio junkie - that comes from 30 years spent in northern Canada where CBC was the only radio you could get for much of that time.

My reading tastes are largely in the non-fiction (science, history and culture) area although a good murder mystery is an essential part of the traveling kit for those times spent in airports.

My taste in tastes range all over the world. I like cooking and can do everything from Thai to Mexican to Italian to ports and stops in between. I like my good eats especially when there's some good vines too.

Politically, I'm an equal opportunity disdainer of all spectrums political. Religiously, I'm skeptically yours but mythologically intrigued. All of which makes me, sometimes, a *cantankerous old fart. But an interesting one.

What do you do during the rainy season here on the wet coast besides go for coffee and go for walks?
