I am a hopeless romantic; giving flowers and cards to my special someone at unexpected moments. I enjoy different types of music, but tend to listen to classic rock. I play down my "blackguard"(from old English)days, but for those of you who want to feel safe anywhere anytime at my side here goes. I am a former U.S. Marine, a former police officer/state conservation officer, and undercover officer with local, state, and federal credentials. I carry scars and stitches but I’m still here. My waist size is a solid 32" with nary an ounce beyond. It has been a while since I've ridden a Harley, or a horse, or drag-raced at a speedway, but I have been there/done that.

I like spontaneous picnics and calling my significant other without warning and asking her to meet me for a romantic evening. My separation part is due to waiting for the housing market to go up before selling. We have long since gone in opposite ways. The rest of my profile follows:

I like women who are artistic and intelligent. I enjoy dressing up to go out, or kicking back and snuggling up to watch a DVD. I enjoy most things outdoors and a variety of sports. I am a published author. I have written several books, optioned a screenplay, and teach several writing classes at a community college. Since I have a lifetime pension and medical benefit package through my L.E. period (interestingly, it automatically covers domestic partner/children if I move to that stage), I can pursue writing and other interests as I wish. We all know that following the heart is most important - it's just easier when you don't have to worry about every dime and every doctor's visit. I enjoy day trips, movies, reading, the American Music Theater, and the occasional dinner theater. I intend to develop a relationship, not jump into one. I know some of you are working two jobs or extra shifts with little or no insurance coverage. I worked extra shifts and dangerous assignments for years so that I could arrive at this point in my life where I don't owe a penny to anyone and can provide for myself and my partner in a committed relationship.
