Not one to sit on the sidelines, I would much rather play! I am very active and enjoy playing golf or tennis; water or snow skiing; and hiking or camping. I am at a place in life where I feel confident and satisfied with who I am. I can be the "girly girl" and dress up, put on the spikey heels and do the whole glamour thing quite well; or be the "tom girl" and slip on my favorite pair of jeans and just be my natural self with no makeup. My picture is very current and I really do look, feel, and act young for my age.

I believe in living life passionately and I hope to find that special someone who shares my zest for life and wants to join me in seeking new adventures. My philosophy in life is that "everyday is a gift and a surprise waiting to be explored. Every person we encounter is for a reason and can teach us something about ourselves- if we are present and alert".

I love to learn about new things, places and people, and decided to go back to school and get my doctorate in my mid 40's. I enjoy a range of movies from classics like Casablanca to frat humour like "The Hangover". My favorite movie right now is Slumdog Millionaire. Not too much into TV- but I admit to being addicted to True Blood and MSNBC (yes I am a left-left liberal). I love to read, mostly non-fiction, and always have at least 3-4 books by my nightstand that I am reading. My favorite book ever- "The Little Prince"- reminds me to never forget the child inside. Music is essential to me and you will find a little bit of everything on my ipod/iphone- including classic rock, R & B, Soul, Hip Hop, adult alternative... Beatles, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Led Zeppelin, Black-Eyed Peas, CSNY, Doors, Stones, James Taylor, Pink, Gwen Stefani, Beyonce and .... like I said all over the place! I LOVE to sing at the top of my lungs while driving - can't carry a tune to save my life, but love to sing anyway. I enjoy a great Chardonnay or Pinot Noir or a cold bottle of Newcastle beer- just depends on my mood. I think dancing is a great way to stay young in mind, body and spirit!
