I like to keep my mind busy. Whether it’s reading; talking; watching a movie or playing a game, I’ve got to be doing something. That’s not to say I can’t just sit quietly in a car while driving down the road with someone else.

I enjoy reading. I prefer to read SCIFI Fantasy but will and do read every thing. I like watching movies and listening to music, but generally don't memorize actors and actresses names. I enjoy listening to rock and roll but for some reason all the older songs have stuck with me and from time to time I can be caught singing along.

I know how to; ski on both snow and water, ride a dirt bike, snowmobile, skate on ice or down the road. I have been hunting many times in my past but now I pretty much stick with shooting skeet. I have been camping and fishing uncountable times, and have backpacked through parts of Glacier National Park. I enjoy playing volleyball and softball but haven’t been lucky enough to play much lately. I enjoy going to plays, museums and the bigger zoos. Not long ago I sat with a buddy in row seven at a concert and was amazed at how well Mick Jagger could still get around (he never stopped once).

I have travelled extensively but there are still a few places on my must see list.

I like saving money, it makes me feel safer. I can’t stand not paying a bill on time. Serious revolving debt spooks me. I enjoy going out to dinner but don’t mind eating at home either.

I don’t really enjoy the bar scene. I’ll go and have fun if friends have decided to go but it wouldn’t be my first choice. I don’t really care for beer but tend to always have some on hand if a friend comes over. I enjoy a mixed drink from time to time but I’m carful not to get drunk (often). A buzz is good, a hang over is bad.

I don’t understand why a person would continue to put trash in a trash can when it’s already full, instead of emptying it. I put stuff back where it belongs. It’s not that I’m compulsive; I’m just too lazy to go looking for things all the time. I don’t mind cooking, doing the dishes or cleaning the house and definitely do not expect anyone to do it for me.

Honesty and integrity is really important to me and I have made it a big part of who I am.

I can’t think of anything more enjoyable then causing my partner to smile. Showing affection in public is fine; holding hands, kissing, hugs, sitting close.

Even after I swear to myself I’ll never let my guard down again or forgive a person for an injustice, I always forget a few days later and I’m right back to being my happy self. At times I might not appear happy but I am. We can’t all have those million dollar smiles.

I like having an equal conversation, exchanging ideas whether I agree or disagree. I want to know what a person thinks. I don’t have to be right and don’t have any trouble saying I’m sorry when I’m wrong. I truly believe mutual respect, open communication, understanding and the acceptance of each others differences are critical to ensuring a successful relationship.

Since leaving federal service I have worked hard to earn a degree in Management with an emphasis in human resources. I should be graduating this coming summer. The idea of getting a degree and starting a new career is almost as exciting as setting a good example for my kids.

I have three children, ages 16, 14 and 10 (girl, girl, boy). The eldest lives with me full time, the other two every other week.
