I've been told to remove all references to being boring from my profile because I'm not. I've climbed a Mayan temple, hiked down into canyons and back out again at altitude, and I've been blessed by the Pope (yeah, that worked!). I love music, with rather eclectic tastes, but mostly 80's rock. I've been told that I have a wicked sense of humor, sometimes witty, sometimes sarcastic, but anything is funny at 4am. I work a crazy schedule, nights at a facility for abused/troubled kids. My down time is usually spent quietly, either reading or watching a movie. I work this crazy schedule in order to pursue my first love: writing horror fiction.

I'm intelligent, independant, caring, affectionate, kind, and passionate about everything I believe in and everything I do. I'm also PAINFULLY shy. I can speak in front of a room full of strangers, yet I can't go up to someone and introduce myself. Needless to say, the bar scene is not for me. But I'll pretty much try anything once, as long as it doesn't involve heights. I'm equally comfortable in sweats or an evening gown, grew up on snowmobiles and horses, and can change my own flat tire. Sad to say I do not ski. The idea of careening down a mountain on plastic sticks does not appeal to me, but if you want to go ice skating or hiking or fishing, i can even bait my own hook. As long as you're willing to occasionally foster my need for shoes. I also can't go into a bookstore without buying something.

My friends describe me as fiercely loyal, honest, generous, kind, and compassionate. My ideal match would possess those same qualities, as well as being a hopeless romantic, someone who can make me laugh and isn't creeped out by the fact that I can write some pretty disturbing stuff.
