The Best is Yet to Come . . . Let's Go Ballroom Dancing!

Family, friends, and honesty are what I value most. I love to laugh, and I try really hard not to take myself too seriously. Silly and embarrassing moments have a way of grounding us -- and they make for great stories to tell and re-tell forever! I know my daughter has a way of remembering all of my silly and embarrassing moments -- and she never lets me forget them!

So who -- or what -- am I’m looking for?

I’m looking for friends first and foremost. And if something else should come out of the friendship, then that would be great. If not, then I’ve made a new friend. You can never have too many friends. Friends and family bring laughter and love into our lives … and we also share each other’s tears.

I'm also looking for someone to ballroom dance with me into our golden years. I absolutely love to ballroom dance. I dance two nights a week (sometimes three), and I take two ballroom dance lessons each week. I'm very involved in the ballroom dance community here in Chattanooga. My daughter will warn you that I can start dancing at any time!! I can’t help myself! Good music just make my feet start moving!

I love to entertain family and friends and make them feel welcome in my home, but I don’t mind being cooked for and being pampered once in a while. When I do have people over, I like to entertain on my porch, which I designed to be large enough to truly enjoy.

I love to travel -- long trips or short weekend jaunts. I just got back from a Greek Isles dance cruise. We flew into Venice, Italy, then cruised the Greek islands with a great group of my ballroom dancing friends. Had a blast. Don't know where I'm going next, but it will probably be with my dancing buddies.

Most importantly, I love to spoil my grandson. I hope to have more grandbabies in the next few years. This is a new experience for me, and I'm totally in love with him.

Well, that’s what I can tell you about myself. My dog, however, would bark and say that I’m loving, witty, and fun. My friends tell me that I am outgoing and fun to be around. My daughter tells me that I can be stubborn -- but what child wouldn’t say that about their parent?!?

So … if you like to laugh (very important) … if you enjoy being around family and friends … if you enjoy ballroom dancing (or you would like to learn) … if you enjoy traveling … if you love watching fireworks on the 4th of July … if you can’t live without dogs … if your toes start tapping when you hear good dance music … if you like a good steak dinner with a nice bottle of wine … then I’m your friend.
