About Me
So it seems like most ladies here are looking for a honest gentleman with a good heart that knows how to treat a lady, that doesn't play games, drama-free, etc. Well I fit that criteria perfectly so we'll see if you're being honest, or if in reality most women are really looking for a guy that isn't a complete jerk, but has a six-pack.

I have really simple interests; sports, music, tv, and movies. I'm in an abusive relationship with the Cubs. They keep beating me down and I keep coming back for more. I love football and the Bears. I've got my shows on TV; Lost, The Office, 30 Rock and reality shows like Top Chef, So You Think You Can Dance (Dancers amaze me, probably because I'm not very good at it at all), and American Idol.

I love music, listening, playing, and singing. I like everything from the Beatles to Jay-Z and Garth Brooks to the latest pop hipster making music in skinny jeans. I play the piano and guitar and I love to sing, whether its in the car, shower, or at weddings with the band singing my friends' first dance as husband and wife.

I'm a Jim Halpert kind of guy. I've never cheated on a girlfriend. I know what's going on in the world. I have a slightly photographic memory. I'm a romantic. I'm artistic and sensitive, but I'm also extremely protective of my friends and family and would do anything to protect them. I value grammar and get infuriated by the use of "irregardless". I love Muppets. I would rather get a root canal than go to a boom boom club.

I live on the northside in Uptown, and I work in downtown Chicago as a director of an educational organization that puts on summer leadership programs for high school kids. Our goal is to allow students to experience college life while learning about potential careers and also develop their own personal leadership skills. I absolutely love what I do.

The most important thing that I need from a partner is that they're a genuine good person. I'm a bleeding heart liberal that gives the change or dollar bills in my pocket to the guy holding a cup out on the sidewalk. At least twice a week I'm up at 5am to cook breakfast at a homeless shelter. I can't tolerate judgmental people or a person with a temper. Materialism is a big turn off for me as well. Money and nice things don't motivate or inspire me, but making a difference in people's lives does. I'd sooner use my vacation days to go to New Orleans and rebuild some houses before I'd take a week laying on a beach in Mexico.

I'd love to find someone that isn't trying to find a relationship to become happy, but rather is looking for someone to share the happiness in their life with. If you think that I'm the person you'd like to get to know better than please just ask.

First Date
Call if old fashioned, or maybe even boring, but I think that a dinner date is the best first step in getting to know someone. After the first few weeks in a relationship has passed and you've run out of great date ideas, you're eventually left with this person in everyday life and the only way its going to work is if you're got a genuine connection with the person and the only way to forge that is by getting to know each other as best as you can. I don't think there's a better way to get a feel for someone other than a nice long conversation over dinner and maybe a bottle of wine. A dinner date also allows for either person to call it a night early if the other person is a total dud. Admit it. You've been there. Not every date goes as well as you'd like.
