I've been online dating sites for about a year now and this is always the hardest part. Trying to find the balance between what you want to say and what you think people want to hear. I actually had someone tell me that they didn't think we were a good match because I used the word 'awesome' in my profile. It's a shame really, because I thought my profile back then was TOTALLY AWESOME! So I've decided that what people 'want' to hear doesn't matter. Ultimately you want to know who I really am not who I think you want me to be. So here goes:

I'm considered attractive, intelligent, funny, musically inclined, outgoing, (and at times, shy) romantic and affectionate. When I get into someone I really like, they don't have to guess if I'm into them or not. I'm Italian AND a musician so I'm both passionate and sensitive. Maybe to a fault? That's what I used to think. But really there is no such thing. I am who I am. And all-in-all very pleased with who that is. I know that I have a lot to offer someone. I'm just looking for someone who 'gets' me and has some of the traits above and can at least appreciate the rest.

First date? I'd say that I prefer to speak with someone on the phone before we actually meet and if there is a connection then I'd have to go with the obvious choice: dinner/lunch/coffee somewhere that is conducive to conversation. And if we really hit it off then, time permitting, I'm up for anything after that.
