Hi! My name is Sterling and I thank my mother once a month for giving me that name even though I hated the weirdness of it when I was a kid...I'm a semi-recent college graduate (December 08) which at my age means I either worked throughout my 20's or I had a series of irresponsible adventures/travel experiences, the credit card companies seem to think that it's the latter!

I'm in the process of acquiring a dizzying array of technical skills so I can eventually work for myself. Until I get there however, I'm happy to be working in the field of alternative energy actually doing/building/designing things.

A little more about me: I live on a boat (seriously), I have a lot of energy and passion, I like to study various things in great detail, and I used to be an excessive Noam Chomsky devotee/left-wing political activist...

I'm looking for a woman who is interesting and passionate, with the ability to carry on in a conversation.

Here's a thought: why don't we leave our cell phones off or on silent? I know, I know, we all have friends and we all get calls and text messages, it just seems rude, immature and disrespectful if you're texting on a first date...At least wait until you get to the bathroom to give your bff a status update
