Hallo!! I live very simply and don't require much. I am an avid animal lover, and thus I live with 18 dogs and 8 cats. (I live in the middle of nowhere in NE Oklahoma.) I don't have a lot of free time, but would love someone to share what there is of it.

I enjoy stay-at-home hobbies/activities mostly. Much of my time is spent caring for my rather large family. I want a man who doesn't mind that my family is a bit different, and can be free to get to know me anyway. :-)

I am not looking for someone to take care of me, we do OK on our own. I just think it would be nice to be half of a couple.

I have Rheumatoid Arthritis (thus the VA Disability), and I am limited in what I can do. However, I stay as active as I am able, and try to live a healthy but joyful lifestyle. (I am about 5'5" and 125-130. Not much muscle tone, but not a lot of fat either.) I don't enjoy traveling, and am unable to fly due to ear problems. I am at my best when I am at home-whether it is working on fencing/building issues or just relaxing. I do enjoy the occasional outing, especially in the warmer weather. During the winter, I am prone to bouts of ill health and/or painful days. It is not the rule, though. I have good medicine and keep up with it religiously.

My tastes in music, movies, TV, and food are fairly diverse. I am very upbeat and enjoy life. I can almost always be counted on to see that elusive silver lining! I like to smile, laugh, and be happy. I am that person who comments on your groceries in line at Walmart, and hopefully gives your day a little lift. I think that I am easy to please in most areas, but I'll leave you to judge for yourself...

Here is a hint to my personality-all of my dog's names: Maat, Imhotep, Hi'iaka, Dejanira, Turbine, Sergeant, Poseidon, Major, Kernunnos, Osiris, Kane Milohai, Ngyambe, Wu Tze Tian, Laka, Pele, Mitzvah, Yetzer haTov & Princess Abigail. Conversation starter, eh?

My current living situation is rustic, but I do have a 5 year plan to purchase my own place. I traded a nasty little house with running water in North Tulsa for a tiny, nasty camper trailer without indoor bathroom facilities or running water in the boonies of Salina, OK, because that is how much I hated Tulsa (and any large area infested with people) and loved my solitude (and my dogs).

{Now, I do have a couple faults though, that I will point out for the faint at heart. I was in the military and -not to blame them, mind you- I do have a sailor's-type mouth. That is not going to change. I don't believe in religion at all. (I don't mind if you do, but I'll NOT be attending with you.) I can NOT deal with the extremely stupid and maintain my kind demeanor. I am open-minded and perfectly willing to try new things, but I am also a grown up type person and I already know if I like this or that-foods, events, actions, hobbies, etc. I do not like open-mouth kisses, unless you are an animal or a baby-or both. That is all I can think of just now, but this will hopefully give you an idea on my bad characteristics. :-) P.S. I am also just a wee bit anal. I had to redo this 3 times because I left out the open-mouth kissing bit the first time, misspelled "saloir" the second time and then thought I had better mention how anal I really was, for the third time. :-)}

I like to start out slowly and get to know each other BEFORE you try to stick your tongue down my throat. :-)
But seriously, something simple like a bit of food or a short drive that leaves plenty of room for discussion and questions and answers. Someplace where we can really get to know each other and decide if we want to continue or just "call it a day".
Later, when we feel connected, then I want the romance and such.
