I am very fortunate to have a harmonious house full of Zen, a great job, a loving family, and the freedom to pursue all of my diverse hobbies which include reading, gardening (I grow several of my own vegetables throughout the year), and continually growing spiritually.
Laughter is essential and I can easily laugh at myself as well.

I LOVE music, play a few instruments(a more recent addition to my life), mainly various acoustic guitars, harmonica and I also sing. When I can, I play at some local coffee shops.
Egalitarianism and being very liberal are two strong traits within me, so I don't mix well with closed minded, spiteful or angry people.
I strongly believe that ALL americans should have the same rights and opportunities. Anything else, is not a democracy!
I also exercise very regularly and have been described as a "gym-rat". I absolutely love the endorphine and adrenaline rush of a heavy workout!
I am strongly attracted to intelligent, confident women. If you're able to converse on a variety of topics, and I am able to learn from you, there will always be fire between us. Are you ready??? I know that I am!
Romantic notions (flowers just because, pda's, quick "how is your day" calls, etc..) and chivalry (opening doors, holding your coat as you put it on, pulling out your chair to sit on etc..) are as natural to me as breathing.
If your into men who treat you like crap, percieve men who treat women with respect as "pushovers", or are very internal with your emotions,I am not someone whom you would want to date.

Now, I am not tall by any means, although I am quite comfortable with my height. If you happen to be taller than me when you put your heels on, I am completely confident so you should be as well.
I spent a lot of time in Fenway Park, so from April through October, I am "one of THOSE people". However, from mid-October through early April, I really don't care about following any sports and I only record the super bowl for the commercials and the music during half-time.
Last years super bowl was a rude interruption of an amazing concert by "The Boss", so I saw him live in April.
Most importantly, I will not be attracted to you, no matter how "traditionally" beautiful you may be, if you are not a warm, caring, open-minded, loving person. Despite my workout regime and my tailored business suits, I vibrate on a much deeper and very spiritual level am far from being shallow!

Although I have a well paying job, I am ridiculously far from being superficial or materialistic. I would rather save my money and use it to go somewhere special.

First dates should be fun and exciting. They should also be based on shared interests.
A fun first date could potentially be anything from a long hike, to cruising through museums, spending time in old book stores, going dancing, or just walking along the beach. Perhaps just dinner, a movie, and a good conversation afterwards.
Seriously, it really depends on on interests and personality.
Keep in mind that a first date is not meeting for a quick hour over coffee or drinks. That's just meeting face to face for the first time.
A first date, is quality time(hours)spent together getting to know one another!
