In today's times with uncertainty all around, I feel blessed in all areas of my life except I'm flying solo. I shouldn't complain but let's be honest, it gets a little boring doing things by yourself all the time.

I enjoy nature. It has a tremendous calming effect on me. Anything: seeing the moon and the stars under the desert landscape, feeding squirrels on my walks, seeing peacocks in my backyard, hawks flying overhead, dolphins playing in the waves. I also enjoy traveling. I'm of European descent and love Europe. My favorite country is Austria and my favorite city is Venice, Italy. Other places on my list to visit are Greece, Australia, the pyramids in Egypt, an African safari and a place to see polar bears. Are you still with me?

I'm not into crowds or loud places, so if you enjoy hanging out at bars, concerts or sporting events please move on to your next profile. I do however like the theater. It would be great if you do but it's not necessary. I'll take my mom.

I'm not a typical woman. I work in a predominantly male environment and in dirty places. I'm sometimes considered just one of the guys. I don't wear make-up, hate to shop, don't mind getting my hands dirty but clean up nicely.

I'm educated, financially stable, own my own business and have learned not to take work home with me although sometimes I do have trouble sleeping thinking about work. I'm hardworking, honest, loyal and blunt. Please don't ask me a question if you don't want to hear my answer.

I'm looking for a partner, someone I can share my life with, someone who's on the same page as me moving in the same direction. I'm independent and require time to myself and recognize that you may as well. Most of us have a life with responsibilities by now and I'm aware that they take up time but knowing that I can rely on a kind word or a hug when I need it helps.

This is not my first try on a dating site, however, it is my first time here. I'm still skeptical because at first one feels great with the attention and then red flags pop up. Maybe they are just my insecurities or my runaway thoughts but I get discouraged and tend to crawl back into my hole. They say that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over again expecting different results. Hope that's not the case here. I'll try an be more optimistic. That's it.
