I am a laid back woman. I work hard, and during my free time, I enjoy relaxing and spending time with my close friends and family. In the summer, that usually involves time on the water, whether that's jet skiing, floating the Comal with friends, or heading to the coast. In the fall and winter, I enjoy cards, dominoes or any variety of games with friends. I am a huge NFL football fan. A perfect evening would involve a beer at the local pub while watching the big game. On those days when I want some time to myself, I'm usually curled up with a good book.

My tastes in music and movies are eclectic and driven by the mood of the moment. I enjoy the classics like Otis Redding just as much as I enjoy more contemporary artists, like Cold Play or Michael Buble. Most of the time in the car I listen to a variety station or my own 80s mix. My favorite movies are period pieces, but a good comedy or thriller will suit me most of the time also.

Family is very important to me. My parents are not local, but they are near enough that I see them often, and they come to town for my daughter's special events. I am a single mom, so quite a bit of my time involves fun for my daughter, the nightly homework battles, and juggling work, child, and adult play. I am able to maintain a healthy balance in my life most of the time.

I enjoy my job as a claims adjuster for an insurance company, but I plan to continue my education to eventually get out of claims and into project management. I just recently finished my MBA in project management, and I'm eager to use it.

I'm looking for someone who enjoys the simple pleasures . . . a good glass of wine, a beautiful view, or a quiet night at home. My ideal mate is also witty, intelligent, and well spoken. He should have goals and aspirations, but he should work to live rather than live to work.

I typically prefer shorter first dates somewhere relatively quiet, so we can talk freely to get to know eachother . . . a place with a great atmosphere.
