I am a single white male, never married and no children. I would like to meet an interesting, intelligent woman to get to know better with the hope that something more serious develops from that initial development. I work hard and volunteer as tutor a couple of times a week, but try and enjoy life as best I can. In a pretty good place in my life right now, although 40 is not exactly the new 30 I was promised. I would love to meet that elusive "someone special" to share life with. Not interested in serial dating or game playing at this point in my life. Not looking for any special look or type. I enjoy intelligent women with a good sense of humor of any background.

I think first date should be simple, so that neither side feel too much pressure. No amount of phone calls, emails, and text messages can replace a face-to-face meeting. Unfortunately, things do not always go as expected and no one wants to be hurt or hurt someone else. If you keep it simple and light, then you can get that awkward first meeting over and decide if you want to continue. So for me, meeting for coffee or lunch on a Saturday afternoon would be perfect. Then if things work out there is always the possibility of dinner and a movie for Saturday night!
