I'm new to the dating scene and thought this could be a fun way to start.

I have been told and do believe I am a good, kind and caring person. I am a father of one and he is the most important person in my life right now. I enjoy hanging out with my family and dear friends who have been in my life for years. I like to entertain, cook/grill, see local bands and play poker to name a few.

I am looking for someone who likes me for me. It is also important that you like yourself. Hopefully, you can enjoy my son's company as well because he will be around half of the time. I would like someone who likes being with family (sometimes) and likes hanging out with my friends. Spontaneity is also important, it is nice to be able to make plans as the day develops. Someone who is caring, kind and not selfish is also a plus.

Trust is the most important quality in my ideal relationship. Communication is a close second, both people need to be able to speak openly and be heard by the other. If you can't say what is on your mind it will never work. I have learned from my last relationship that two way communication is essential. If you can't communicate problems can not be resolved. I believe there is never an issue that cannot be resolved if you take the time to talk about it. A little compromising can go a long way as well. I have also learned you should never go to bed angry, you only end up waking up the same way.

I have learned over the past several months that I do not need someone to take care of me (my mom taught me well:). I am looking for someone to share my wonderful life with. I have had such a great summer and I would have loved to been able to look over and see a big smile on that special persons face.

I would like to find someone who enjoys hanging out with friends by the fire pit, a night out listening to good music or just watching a movie because we just don't feel like going out.
