I'm ambitious, adventurous, loving, passionate, affectionate, educated, and hard-working. I'm a biologist with a fantastic day job and a rewarding career. I'm a dad and I love it. I have the two most awesome boys ever. I enjoy bicycling, hiking, sailing, camping, climbing, and travel. I'm a handyman, a tinkerer, a pack mule sometimes (I'll carry your luggage), a great cook, a dangerously good bartender, a natural leader who enjoys being with people who are comfortable sharing the reins. I'm very entrepreneurial and I tend to sieze the moment whenever it presents itself.

By day, I'm a biologist who works on developing breakthrough drugs for cancer and autoimmune diseases. I also manage a small business partnership by moonlight, doing green/sustainable manufacturing. I'm optimistic and passionate about making the world a better place. I have a Bachelors of Science in biology/microbiology and a Masters of Business Administration, both from the University of Washington (GO HUSKIES!)

I prefer to be social, but enjoy vegging out when appropriate. Staying in: bottle of wine, deck of cards, trash-talking. Going out: biking, hiking (urban or nature), sailing, climbing, snowshoeing, camping, etc.

I love to host: cooking and tending bar. Having taken so many lab classes, I can follow almost any recipe and have been known to prepare some tasty foods. The mad scientist in me comes out when I get behind the bar. I make the best mojito, period!

Perhaps one of my stronger qualities is self-awareness. I've spent much of my adult life exploring my favorite test subject, me. I'm an ENTP, analytical, and a very relational thinker. I tend to glance over what IS and delve right into what CAN BE. That said, I do understand myself well enough to know my faults and own up to them when I should.
