Is music really important in a relationship?LOL! I hate country music.
I like jazz, christian, classical, 80s, british punk, opera,instrumental. The Police and Tears for Fears, The The, and Flock of Seagulls are a few of my favorite bands and I really like Dave Brubeck,Charlie Parker, and Charlie Christiansen.

I actively listen to christian radio, jazz, and classical and I usually only listen to music in my car. I love jazz bars and classical concerts.

I like plays, the ballet, opera, poetry readings, art galleries and museums, reading, bowling, rollerblading and roller skating, movies, parks, book stores, and some sports (played fast pitch,tennis, and swam swim team).

I am a medical student, needless to say my goal is to become and MD because I am on the way there. I am very career driven. And yes, I do have free time.lol. Having other people in my life is important, helps me to keep from loosing my mind in the books. Have to have fun. My life is full of learning about how to create health in people's lives.

I have a BS and MA in Biology. I attended school between Utah (but I am not LDS! LOL) and Idaho and recently moved to the Dallas/Fort Worth Area and I really like it here.

I am a little bit of an athlete, I run and run marathons and half marathons, cycle, swim, and lift weights; I work-out every day and I have worked as a fitness instructor for several years. Funny side note, I really hate and always have hated cooking! so you are on your own there! Lol. I'm not into foods, I do like to go to restaurants, but only for the wine list :-). love coffee's and tea's.


I may sound like a complex person and I can be, but really, I gravitate toward simple things. For the most part, I consider myself to be pretty average and ordinary. I enjoy learning and intellect and I have many goals.

I love the outdoors and nature.
I have done a fair amount of traveling and lived in the caribbean for a while, needless to say I love the ocean.

My hobbies are writing,photography,drawing, playing the piano; I sing and sang for the church choir for a while.

My faith is central to my life and that is probably the one most important thing people know and should know about me. I am really involved in church, but not a fanatic and not preachy.

I don't have kids and don't want to have children. I do love kids. I have before, and wouldn't and don't mind dating someone who has kids.

I am very open, honest, direct, and appreciate people who are the same way.
I am not afraid to openly discuss what many people consider to be difficult issues.
I am a good listener and appreciate others who listen. I like to learn about other people-this is the med student in me coming out.

I am sorta the "type A" personality with a compassionate edge; a warm, caring, sensitive person.

In any relationship, I am of course looking for honesty, reliability, and trustworthiness, someone who has values and is real.

I tend to take myself too seriously sometimes, so I enjoy being around others who are outgoing and make me laugh. I am a little shy (until you get to know me) and haven't seemed to out-grow it!and sometimes quiet, a definite introvert, but I have a lot of friends.

I am also seeking someone who is smart, understanding and reliable, respectful, romantic and affectionate, a real gentleman who knows how to take care of a woman; can be a problem solver,has similar athletic interests; someone who is progressive in the sense that he is seeking to improve and also challenges me to improve; someone who is supportive of another person's independence and individuality, goals and aspirations, and unconditionally supportive. This creates good relationships of any kind.

I, for the most part, I am non-judgemental and open minded, but like anyone else, I have my own opinions. I appreciate the same. I am into personal growth and appreciate other people who are too. I don't like drama or negativity... can do without it. Too many other happy things to occupy my time with.

I hate the word "date"- it scares me! But I think a good first date is talking and getting to know each other. Casual: Coffee,drinks, movie,music, play,taking a walk. For me, quality relationships are about content and learning about one another. The other great first date would be spinning class! How good of cyclist are you? Lol! :-)
