My name is Dave. I'm 47 years old, and back on the dating scene for the first time in 22 years. I am testing the waters here to see how this service works! So far...my biggest realization is things have REALLY changed! ;)

I am a Christian, and am involved in ministry by serving on the production team at my church. I run the sound board on the weekends that I serve. I enjoy golf, fishing, and just going out on the boat and spending time on the water. I also enjoy hiking, and watching movies.

I have two children still going to school, and 4 step children that are grown and out on their own. In fact, the older ones have started their own families!

When it comes to music, I'm not a big country fan, but do like a lot of country songs. Other than that, there isn't really too much I don't like or won't listen to.

I'm looking for someone that enjoys laughing, and is looking for someone to share a lifetime of laughter with. If you enjoy dining out on fare like Sushi, BBQ, Italian, Chinese, or even a great steak house, it would be a big plus.

I love animals, but am very allergic to cats...

As I look back and view the tapestry that is my life, I can see the different patterns that have been woven into it during the different events that have occurred. Threads are added as new people enter my life. Some stay and remain a part of the new pattern, some leave again, and leave a unique pattern behind where they were a part of my life. I am looking for the one that will stay in the pattern until the end, making the most beautiful images in my life's tapestry.

Well, there is a difference between a first date, and a first meeting.

For a first meeting, I think it should be simple. Just plan on a short time together somewhere that is easy to carry on a conversation. I'm not huge on Starbucks...but it's still a good place to meet. Don't like coffee? How about a smoothie, or maybe frozen yogurt? Planning a short first meeting allows both of us to figure out if there is any interest...if we know it's there, we can always figure out something else to do so we can continue talking.

A first date could be a lot of things. Once we know there is an interest, let's do something we both enjoy. A stroll on the beach, lunch or dinner at a favorite eatery, go on a hike. Anything where conversation is possible.
