I am looking most of all for friendship and companionship. If love happens, so much the better. I just would like to have a confidant again--someone to share happiness and dreariness and all of life's ups and downs with. I tire of eating alone and talking to myself. Sometimes it's so bad that I answer myself. Not to worry though--when I talk to myself, I never lose an argument! I love to play golf and swim in the good weather. I travel a lot for my job, which I absolutely love (I work, because I CAN!), and I have no real plans to retire anytime soon. I also love to attend sporting events and the arts, but rarely do because it's not much fun by myself. I would love to find someone who shares these interests.

I'm going to throw caution to the winds and ignore the advice given by the site that "the longer your description, the more likely it is you will get responses." I can't say what I'd do for a first date, because that would depend upon what my date and I mutually decided to do. It's not much fun to drag someone along to something in which they have no interest, and it's even less fun to be the "dragee".
