Talk about your hobbies...hmmm...
Hobbies are things you do when you're not working, right? What if your hobbies are what you do for a living? I mean, as a writer, what I do for a living, hardly seems like work...well, sometimes it's hard, and requires more of me than I might think I have, and I always rise to the occasion, that's when I discover, I always had it in me, but it never seems like work.
I spend a lot of my summer time doing what I call farming, and again, when I'm out there digging, which is hard, or planting, ya, there's effort and, it's a total joy, beause,... I like cooking...going into the garden and seeing what she has to offer, bringing it back and making food that is plain and simple from the freshest ingredients. So good it makes you laugh!
Every year my garden gets a little bigger, and every year, I share more of what I grow with neighbours and friends. Good food is always welcome, and I like how I feel when I've contributed to someone's life. That is a feeling worth pursuing.
My writing has supported me for over 20 years. I know! A Canadian artist who makes a living in her own country. Believe me, I'm deeply grateful. Since I also self-produce, I've never waited for the phone to ring when it came to my craft. I know that if I want to do something, it is entirely my responsibility to make it happen. I take my writing seriously, but never solemnly...which leads me to...
I love to laugh!
and have a great sense of play that I can call upon, with the right person.

First date should be light and bright. A coffee spot, with big windows, good views, and of course, great coffee. There's a place in the Distillery District called Balzac's, close to art galleries and interesting shops. We could always make the conversation mobile, and take our coffee to go!
