About Me
I, like many others, have my apprehensions about online dating but I find myself in a social "rut" and need a way out. With my job, I socialize/network with people all over the US and Canada, but that isn't good enough for me. So here I am with a profile and everything; let's see what happens.
I enjoy hanging out with friends and family. Typically I am more active during the weekends due to work and other obligations. I try not to sleep during the weekends because it lasts longer that way. No time to sleep when I can be having fun. I enjoy problem solving and tend to do puzzles or games of that nature. I am a computer geek in the sense that I know my way around a computer, but I am a geek that knows how to dance. I love to learn and also love to teach. As long as I am comfortable in my surroundings, parties/social outings/get togethers, I am extroverted. Due to the nature of my job, I have a lot of pent up energy and so walking and running are my favorite activities. I have opinions but I am also non-confrontational and usually do not voice counter-points unless asked. I like to meet new people. I am great with remembering faces but awful with names. I listen to most/all genres of music but rarely Rap or Country.
First Date
First dates are my favorite! It is hard to ever top the first date because everything is new and exciting! The best first date, in my opinion, is the kind that is in constant motion. Dinner and a movie and overplayed and boring. I love food and I love movies, but I can do that on the second or third date. The first should be active like running or walking in a park or scenic area. I like listening to other peoples lives and getting to know them. The walk/run can last as long as the people on the date want because they can decide to go another lap, if they are enjoying the other persons company, or call it a day, if they don't. Either way it is a win/win situation because you at least got some exercise instead of sitting down and watching someone else live their life. In summation: on my first date, if I had the option, I would like to play in the park.
*NOTE* Communication is very important to me. If you cannot hold up your end of the conversation I would prefer you not message me. Nothing against quiet/meek people, but the ability to have an intellectual, engaging, enjoyable conversation is something I treasure. Some day's, all I want to do is hear how someone else day went.
