So my friend met this really cool girl from this site and now I want to grow up and be just like him. If you're cool and female then you may have been prequalified to chat with me. Congrats ;)

So about me...
I'm an art director based in LA working in the advertising industry. I'm the guy that makes you want to buy things you don't want or need but somehow end up having too much of. Sorry about that, I'm sure you'll find use for those 10 tubes of industrial adhesive. I was working out in Dubai for a bit but didn't really like it because it felt like I was living in segregated America circa 1950... so like all great civil rights leaders, I decided to leave the country. Take THAT, suckers!


I was always a creative kid, so I went to art school to become more creative and now I do it for a living. Some days I feel like an artist, but then reality sinks in and I realize I work in advertising. I'm trying to get back into non-commercial arts recently, I dug out my old box of brushes and paints and I even found an unused canvas! I don't know what I'm going to paint yet though. Maybe a stack of white plates on a wooden table. That's right, it's going to be a controversial piece.


I like hanging out with friends and checking out new bars and restaurants, having a few drinks and laughing at unintentionally funny things. Have you seen that billboard that says "Determined to outFOX Parkinson's" and then there's a picture to the side of Michael J. Fox looking confused and a bit angry? Ha, yea, puns trivializing other people's misfortunes make me feel charitable too.

My other interests include hiking, snowboarding, going to shows, waiting for the next episode of Dexter, and traveling. I've been to quite a few places over the years but my favorite destinations would have to be Paris, Zurich, Shanghai, and Bali. Worst place? Burma or as it's now known as Myanmar. This store on the border of Myanmar and Thailand wouldn't let me go and kind of forced me to buy some jewelery. They had some dude at the door with an AK-47 so that was a key selling point for me.


I like music that isn't played on top hit radio stations or is listed on a countdown by Rick Dees. My taste is eclectic but for the most part I stick within the broad genre of "rock". Older stuff like The Velvet Underground, Beatles, The Replacements, as well as newer stuff like Ted Leo & The Pharmacists, and Wilco. I've also been randomly listening to a lot of Weezer again(pre-green album). El Scorcho and Pink Triangle is stuck in my head.. and I love it. I was never fond of Pinkerton until 2 weeks ago. What a poseur.

I'm trying to learn how to play the guitar again but I have what I self-diagnosed as "retarded fingers". It's when your fingers are retarded. It's a serious disorder. Come to think of it, I'm typing this sentence right now with only 3 of my left fingers and 1 of my right. This disease is worse than I thought... the only cure is more fruit rollups. om nom nom nom.

Well that wraps up the mandatory things I needed to say. I'm a pretty friendly guy so I hope you're a friendly gal. Or else I'd have to call security and you'd be all like "don't tase me bro!"
