It’s hard to beat a good sunset; unless it’s sharing that sunset with someone special.

I'm an active, casual guy who loves the water and nature, but I "clean up" pretty readily. I like travel, dining out, warm puppies, a good snuggle, folk music, the symphony, bicycling, paddling secluded rivers, sunsets and long evenings under the stars; but I'm just as comfortable at home with a good movie or tinkering on some "project" in the garage. I'd love to learn to dance with the right teacher. I'm not into organized religion; as I feel I can get closer to nature in a kayak than in a church.

The perfect companion would enjoy the water, new places, good music, good food, good company and simply relaxing at home with the critters. She'll be independent and have her own opinion but willing to compromise; she'll want more from a relationship than an occasional escort, and she'll actually have the time. Otherwise, what's the point??

"First" date would probably be just coffee or a nice dinner somewhere where we could get acquainted and decide if there was to even be a "second" date. "a place with plenty of exits" has been suggested!
