I was actually born in 1954 but put my birth year a few years later so as not to be left out of searches. As I take great care of myself, I'm in better shape, and will stay that way, than most people younger than me. I apologize for the bad picture. The lighting was really off. I'll upload another one as soon as I can.

In all honesty, I am quite new to this. I am also a bit skeptical but then, with any type of dating service - especially on the web, I guess you may be also. Anyway, I would love to meet someone special for that type of friendship that would/could lead to a date and then perhaps much more. I know, this is all based on the chemistry between people. It has to be. No sense in going any further if the chemistry is not there. But then again, I don't have unrealistic expectations. I'm a down to earth person who loves what he loves and would love to also share it with another.

I love playing music and I played guitar for most of my life and had my experiences with various bands throughout the years. The Jersey shore was absolutely wild with music year 'round and I partook in it all I could. I still do that but now I'm hooked on the violin and have gotten further with that in the last few years than I ever got with the guitar. I can't figure it out but I guess I found my instrument.

I've built instruments over the years as well. Electric guitars, hammered dulcimers and a few other stringed instruments. I love all types of music including what I have always played; Rock, Blues, etc., but have found a new love of Celtic, Medieval, Renaissance and even Chamber Music, etc. Whoa! Even I wouldn't have ever guessed that I would eventually be playing/listening to this type of music, but it happened. I guess I just found myself in love with the early stuff.

I love foreign movies, good restaurants, museums, concerts and days in the park. I make my own wine and love sharing it. I write and find it a great way to express myself. I am currently working on a few stories and hope to get them published one day. I love meeting new people, going out and spending time with friends. I love the theatre and plays but unless they are great, still prefer films. My major in college was Theatre and I studied acting in Manhattan for a number of years after college but am not pursuing it now. Ah, got to work and make a living.

I like to keep myself as fit as possible and work at it. I'm way below average weight for my height and will keep it that way for as long as I live.

I love forests and I love the beach. I love long walks and even short ones as well. I like being outdoors, but, it's always better with someone else alongside you. I am mostly vegetarian but don't criticize others who aren't. I love good wines also. I have a great sense of humor and I'm a great listener.

I enjoy people who enjoy being themselves. Life's too short to be otherwise. So please, you don't have to put on an air with me. I do love people who enjoy being silly, if that's how they're feeling. I do that as well. Oh, if you're shy, that's no problem either. Shy is OK too. In all honesty, even I am that way till I get to know someone.

I know there's a wild side to me, but it's a good wild. And a very adventurous side. Perhaps an Indiana Jones type who wants to hack his way through a jungle to find a long hidden treasure. There's just no fun doing it alone.

Whatever you like, actually. Perhaps a glass of wine or a meal, coffee, ice-cream, whatever. A nice place to talk to one another and share whatever is comfortable to share on a first meeting.
