I am a Marine engineer with the Royal Navy, but don't let that put you off. I'm not your 'typical' sailor with a girl in every port, but do love the navy and going to sea. I live in Portsmouth and Gosport (Portsmouth at weekends), and have been Portsmouth born and bred, not that anyone will believe that when they meet me. I love my job and reckon i'm quite good at it, which adds to the satisfaction.

When i'm not working i like to relax with a good book or vegetate with a film or tv show. (TV shows i like include: Top Gear, anything with James May, Have i got news for you, Spooks, Dr Who, American Dad, Family Guy, The Inbetweeners, peep show, black books, various crime dramas, black comedies and interesting things)! I do have a guilty secret that i actually quite like listening to Radio 4 from time to time too. (but i'm not that boring i promise).
Other than that i like to be practical. I like messing around with pretty much anything mechanical or electrical, which these days tends to be my car, but can be anything. I enjoy sailing, but don't own my own boat, so can only do it when someone is feeling generous! I also quite like cycling, although i've let that slip a bit in recent years. When i get the chance i love to cook, and don't think i'm too bad, but nothing i make with win any dieting points. I learnt most things i know while working in a restaurant as a teenager. Everything involves proper ingredients! Finally, at the moment i'm trying to teach myself to play the piano off the internet with varying success. I'm not as musical as i'd like!

At the moment i plan to do a full career in the Royal Navy since it offers me everything i want, but as life develops, who knows what it brings. Relationships and family may change that. Whatever i do, i like to enjoy it and that drives me to strive to be the best at what i do (cheesy, but at the moment, honest).

As a person i like to think that i'm quite rounded (No not just round!). i try to see everyone's opinion and try to respect that, although there are times people will annoy the hell out of me. I think i'm quite conservative in my views, but not in a serious (or bad)way! People say i sound posh, which may be true, but i'm not at all, i just pronounce all the letters in a word!
I think its fair to say that these days i'm more of a pub person than a club person. I do enjoy going out, but i prefer somewhere i can sit down, drink and chat to people. Rather than attempt to pretend i can dance and shout in someone's ear! Having said that i do get dragged out to clubs from time to time and generally enjoy it. This leads onto my taste in music, which is hard to define. I go through phases and my ipod is a mess of different things which can go for months (sometimes years) without being listened to. I always like a good bit of Trance / Dance music (from the boy who doesn't like clubs much)!, cheesy pop, some mainstream rap (a bit), classic rock music, musicals, classical music, all sorts really. If i like it i like it and if i don't i don't, quite Marmite really! (love it by the way).


This is always a work in progress. I'll come back and change and improve things from time to time!

Don't mind, but i'd have to be something so we could talk, so much as i like the cinema, not there. Also i'm quite a fan of food, so it'd probably involve a restaurant somewhere along the lines. Or food at home, but it'd be there somewhere!
