Leaving my home in Los Angeles, I came to Berkeley to find an answer and boy, did I ever! Academia is not for me, folks. It was like going to Oz and peeking behind the curtain...just a tired old man pulling the levers. So I am choosing to run my own business again, providing reading instruction for learners with dyslexia. Here I am in the Bay area, starting from scratch, but hopeful and excited.

In my free time, I do love to read, play chess, and watch horrible reality shows (I love to make snarky comments). Meeting new people and getting their story is a delight. The human condition fascinates me endlessly, which is probably why I love live theater so much. Good vegetarian food keeps me happy and I couldn't live without a bit of dark chocolate. Laughter is the best sound in the world.

My nieces and nephews are the the cutest kids in the world. Being far away from them leaves me heavy-hearted sometimes. I come from a close family for which I am very grateful.
