I'm located somewhere in "Blue Heaven" ... working for a big university ... I enjoy playing music (concert band) and listening to many different kinds of same (though I don't do well with opera or gospel!) ... I like to get out and walk or hike, and usually take the camera with me ... I cook a mean pot of chili, so I'm told ... I build my own computers ... I live comfortably, in a small place ... I enjoy science fiction movies and concert films ... I like traveling to the NC mountains when possible ... lots of my friends still live there, and I feel most comfortable there ... I plan to move back there as soon as possible ... I'd like to find someone that I can "kick back with" and enjoy their company, then see where things go ... ultimately, a partnership.

A first date? Hmmm ... I'd suggest meeting in a public place, to start, having conferred about what kinds of restaurants we could agree on ... pick one, and have a leisurely dinner together ... then, depending on the season, maybe a walk in a park, or a movie, or maybe a comedy club, but no real plan to start, simply let things work themselves out.
