I would describe myself as someone who is socially and enviromentally aware and trying in my own small way to be part of the solution. When driving in traffic I try not to be that guy who is tailgating and cutting people off with his middle finger out the window. I hate people who throw cigarette butts on the ground or any litter for that matter and I participate The Surfrider Foundation beach cleanups whenever I can. I have always been the kind of person who runs in a small circle of tight friends and while not a total introvert I most of the time find myself doing things alone, although my work schedule often times makes it easier for me to do things when I want to then for my 9-5 friends. I love surfing and when I am not working I am in the water. I also love to hang out in the sun reading a book and drinking coffee. I tend to be more of a homebody but I do go out to see live music or go the movies and I love to go out to nice dinners. I used to work in a few different restaurants as a cook and I enjoy making dinner as well. I don't drink or use anymore, I just kind of out grew it, and nowadays I am more into saving up for traveling and I am going to Costa Rica for a Month in January. I grew up in Lake Tahoe back in the 90's and my musical tasts tend to run along punk rock and classic rock but I can listen to anything good. its been hard to meet people because it seems like most young people hook up in bars and I just don't hang out there anymore. I think that I am an attractive guy but I hate asking girls out when I see them at the gym or in the water surfing or when they are working, it almost seems like a violation of their space so I am giving this a shot.

There always seems like there is a bunch of pressure on a first date and I would try and avoid that. A good first date to me seems like meeting up for a cup of coffee and seeing if there is a spark or a little chemistry, if there is I like to improvise, maybe go from there to the beach or a short hike, maybe get some dinner depending on the time of day, but if there isn't any chemistry you can finsh your coffee shake hands and head off in your seperate ways.
