I enjoy just about anything from spur of the moment to planned. I have no responsibilities other than to myself as my 2 kids are adults and married. I share a house with my mother and stepfather. My mother is unable to walk on her own and needs help. The house is large enough so that I basically have one end of the house and they have the other end. I have my own office, bedroom, bath and a guest bedroom in my side. Plus there are 7 acres of woods here and I have the use of a pole barn to store my boat over the winter and work on it out of the rain and weather. I was in the Air Force for 7 years, and then worked for the FAA (airplanes and airports) for 25 years as an engineering technician. I have a government retirement plan that will start when I am 62.

I run a successful internet business from home "pondkoi.com" and "justpondplants.com" and they have increased in sales each year. I can run them from a laptop PC while I am on Lake Michigan, or in New Orleans if I wanted to, but I usually have someone run it for me when I am out playing. I am not rich by any means but always seem to have enough funds to do what I wish within reason. But I don’t buy new cars and I refuse to have car payments or credit card bills to pay on monthly. Sure I would love to have a new Corvette but I just can’t bring myself to deal with the expense of vanity items. Just paying the insurance on my truck, van and boat is enough for me to deal with. When I fill my boat up with gas it costs me $250 so I would rather spend quality time on Lake Michigan than drive new cars. Being mechanically inclined allows me to keep up on my own toys and I don’t need new things.

PS my picture looks like I am not friendly but quite the opposite is true. I just take really crappy pictures. I hate having my picture taken and it always seems to show. I just don’t have much success hiding my feelings.

First I would like to just meet anywhere and hang out with no pressure. What I mean by that is I would not like to be invited to your social circle with other people present to deal with. I would just like to spend a little time to see if we have the potential to enjoy each others company and go from there. I don't know about you, but I have spent several years without being with anyone, or seeking anyone. I don't do bars and pickup spots as I find them boring and egocentric. I would rather spend time with you discussing interesting topics and getting to know you better.
